Altitude Announces 2022 Colorado Rapids Broadcast Schedule

DENVER—Altitude Sports announced today that it will broadcast 31 of 34 regular-season games for the 2022 Colorado Rapids season. As part of the MLS broadcasting package, three Rapids games will be aired on national carriers throughout the upcoming season. The Rapids regular season kicks off with a road game on February 26thversus LAFC, which will be carried nationally via Univision. Altitude’s season coverage will commence from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, with a home game on Saturday, March 5th against Atlanta United FC.

Altitude continues to seek an agreement for a carriage deal with Comcast to return the network to local cable. “We’re doing all we can to bring hometown fans back their teams on cable,” said Matt Hutchings, COO of KSE. “We would ask those fans to reach out to Comcast and let them know you want Altitude and your teams back on cable.”

The Rapid’s broadcast crew for the upcoming 2022 Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign will be comprised of Richard Fleming and Marcelo Balboa. Fleming is entering his tenth season as the play-by-play announcer and Balboa will return for his fourteenth season as the team’s color commentator.
