Sports Social Announcement

Monday, July 6, 2020

On Monday, July 6, Altitude Sports and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) are transforming what was previously known as Sports Social, an all-digital two-hour remotely-produced live show, to a new format that includes three team-focused 30-minute shows that aim to educate and inform viewers about the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rapids upcoming return-to-play. The show will continue to spotlight community relations and KSE partners.

As the NBA, NHL and MLS unveil plans to return-to-play after a multi-month hiatus, Sports Social will shift programming to keep viewers up to date on preparations being made to return to the court, ice and pitch. As the three teams compete in tournaments created specific to their leagues, programming will provide exclusive content that includes interviews with players, coaches, executives and behind-the-scenes glimpses into each teams’ championship quest.

The show will air exclusively on Altitude Sports and hosted by station talent. The revised format will be televised Monday through Friday from 6:30-7 p.m. MDT and will be followed up with six re-airings of the broadcast. Each episode will include exclusive Nuggets, Avalanche and Rapids weekly programming to be delivered in the following format:

Day Show Time
Monday Nuggets Sports Social 6:30-7 p.m. MDT
Tuesday Avalanche Sports Social 6:30-7 p.m. MDT
Wednesday Rapids Sports Social 6:30-7 p.m. MDT
Thursday Nuggets Sports Social 6:30-7 p.m. MDT
Friday Avalanche Sports Social 6:30-7 p.m. MDT

Altitude Sports and KSE would like to thank everyone involved in the creation, contribution of content and execution of Sports Social over the past several months. During uncertain times in sports and across the globe, great leadership was shown by dedicated staff members to create a show that provided upwards of 150 hours of live content, featured more than 200 guests including notable names like Denver Nuggets Head Coach Michael Malone, Colorado Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar, Colorado Rapids Head Coach Robin Fraser, Colorado Mammoth Head Coach Pat Coyle, Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr., Nuggets guard Monte Morris, Avalanche forward Gabe Landeskog, Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer, Rapids midfielder and captain Jack Price, Rapids forward Kei Kamara, Grammy nominated/Denver-based songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff and Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock.

Over the past three months Sports Social was fortunate to have access to dozens of community relations guests and KSE partners who offered wonderful insight and information on how to volunteer, support our community, seek medical services and navigate during a pandemic. Representatives from more than 65 community partners like UCHealth, Visit Denver, Make-A-Wish Colorado, A Precious Child and Vitalant were gracious enough to volunteer their time and share their knowledge with our viewing audience.

Tune in Monday-Friday from 6:30-7 p.m. MDT on Altitude Sports.
