The Colorado Avalanche extend their win streak at home against the Anaheim Ducks in a 5-2 decision. Goals were tallied by Cale Makar, Valeri Nichushkin, Nazem Kadri, Alex Newhook and Nicolas Aube-Kubel. In the first period, Darcy Kuemper had a skate issue which caused his blade to detach from his holder which costed the Avalanche an early goal. Stepping on to the ice for the second period, Darcy Kuemper's blade fell out again and Jonas Johansson finished the last two period and helped on the way to the Avalanche victory.
