Saturday, December 4, 2021

The Colorado Avalanche continued their road trip across Canada with their final stop in Ottawa. The Avalanche started off the game with a quick goal from Darren Helm that was quickly answered with two goals from Ottawa. After tying the game at the end of the first, the Avalanche went down three more goals throughout the stretch of the second period with a little hope coming from a goal by Alex Newhook to make the score 3-5. The Avs continued to fight back throughout the third and finally tied up the game 5-5 with only a minute and a half to go in the third. Unfortunately, Brady Tkachuk forced a turnover in overtime to go on a breakaway and win the game for the Senators.
