The Colorado Avalanche come out on top against their historical rivals, the Detroit Red Wings. J.T Compher kicked off the night with a tip in goal followed by goals from Andre Burakovsky and longtime Red Wing, Darren Helm. The remaining four goals were scored by Nathan MacKinnon, Samuel Girard, another from Burakovsky and finally Cale Makar potted an empty netter. Darcy Kuemper earned his 11th win of the season with 37 saves and a .925 save percentage.
