Air Force Academy and Altitude Sports Announce Broadcasting Agreement

Wednesday, August 10, 2022

DENVER—Altitude Sports announced today that it has entered into a multi-year broadcasting partnership with the United States Air Force Academy.  This 2-year agreement will bring select Air Force Academy games to Altitude’s ten-state region through the 2023-24 school year, demonstrating once again its ongoing commitment to local and regional content.

Altitude’s broadcast schedule will include a selection of mutually agreed upon games that include men’s and woman’s basketball, men’s hockey, and one football game.  The partnership between Altitude and the Air Force Academy will kick off on Saturday, September 3rd at 11 a.m. with the broadcast of the NCAA football season opener as the Falcons take on Northern Iowa.  Schedules for other sports will be announced at a later date.

“We are very proud to be associated with the Air Force Academy,” said Matthew Krol, VP & General

Manager of Altitude Sports. “Adding a top-notch NCAA Division I program to our broadcast schedule will allow fans in our region to see more Falcons games and learn more about what the service academy provides to its cadets. Air Force competes at a high level every year, and we look forward tobringing some great Mountain West, Atlantic Hockey, and national matchups to our network.”

“This is a very exciting day for Falcon Nation, our partnership with Altitude Sports will bring Air Force fans more and better television broadcast opportunities within our region,” said Nathan Pine, Air Force Director of Athletics.  “Altitude Sports is the home for Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids, and Mammoth television broadcasts and it is only fitting that we will now include a number of Falcon broadcasts into that programming lineup. The exposure and cross-promotional opportunities are critical for our brand as we continue to raise the profile of Air Force Athletics both regionally and nationally. This was made possible by a change in the Mountain West’s tier three broadcast rights that have now been given back to the individual schools to pursue strategic partnerships like this one Air Force has built with Altitude Sports.”

At this time, you can find Altitude available on DIRECTV  and DIRECTV Stream, Charter Communications, Evoca, and other cable providers in a 10-state region that includes Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Utah.  For additional information on cable and satellite providers in your area, visit www.altitudesports.com/channel-finder/  Altitude Sports continues to seek an agreement on a carriage deal with Comcast which would extend Falcons coverage along the Front Range.
