Altitude Sports & Entertainment Celebrates Emmy Silver Circle Induction for Vic Lombardi

DENVER (May 21, 2024) – Altitude Sports & Entertainment proudly announces that renowned sports broadcaster Vic Lombardi has been inducted into the prestigious Heartland Emmy Awards Silver Circle. This award recognizes Lombardi's significant contributions to the sports broadcasting industry over the course of his illustrious career. The Silver Circle honors individuals who have devoted a quarter of a century or more to the television industry and have made a meaningful impact on broadcasting and/or new media.

Since 1997, the Silver Circle has seen 86 inductees, but Vic Lombardi stands out as potentially the first inductee whose career has been entirely dedicated to sports broadcasting. The Emmy’s and Vic Lombardi’s Silver Circle honor will be officially celebrated at the Awards Gala on July 20th.

“A Silver Circle induction is not only a testament to Vic’s outstanding career achievements but also to his immense passion for sports broadcasting,” said Matthew Krol, Vice President, Altitude Sports & Entertainment. “Vic is not only an exceptional broadcaster but a beloved figure in Denver and the sports community at large. His dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with fans have truly set him apart.”

A Denver native, Vic Lombardi’s career in broadcasting took him from Elkhart, Indiana in 1991to Denver in 1998. Lombardi joined KCNC-TV where his dynamic coverage and insightful reporting earned him 28 regional Emmy Awards, including 14 for Best Sports Anchor. In 2015, Lombardi brought his talents to Altitude Sports & Entertainment, hosting numerous shows including pre- and post-game coverage for the Denver Nuggets.

In 2017, Lombardi added more to his plate by joining Altitude Sports Radio, co-hosting a morning show that ascended to No.1 in the Denver Market.

The Regional Heartland Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in television programming within the Heartland Chapter region, encompassing television markets in Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado.
